John has over 20 years of experience in the financial and investment arena and has created Wealth Advisors, LLC as a private firm to uniquely serve clients as an Institutional Money Manager rather than a salesman at a traditional retail firm. Being an unbiased advisor allows John the flexibilty to design and implement portfolio strategies for investors who want to maximize their returns while managing risk.

PORTFOLIO DESIGN & risk management

The key to consistent wealth accumulation and preservation is the design, implementation, and monitoring of our clients' portfolios. As our lead portfolio strategist, John W. Day takes a very personal approach to this process and above all desires to develop a long-term trusting relationship with every client.

Creating customized portfolios takes many hours of meetings, consultations, reviews and behind the scenes planning and preparation. Many clients have multiple goals and specific needs and each portfolio is tailored to achieve those goals. Risk is managed by creating a diversified portfolio of investments, constant monitoring of the markets to spot strength and weakness, and timely adjustments to sector allocations to achieve maximum performance with minimum risk.

PERFORMANCE & RETURNS

Great performance and large returns are what we all seek in our financial and investment planning. However, planning a strategy to achieve great perfomance and returns is more of an art than a science. Wealth Advisors, LLC does not guarantee performance or returns, but we do guarantee to work diligently to put together solid and focused financial and investment strategies to achieve our clients' goals.

How do we monitor performance and returns? Each month we use very powerful computer software programs to comb through thousands and thousands of stocks, mutual funds and other investments to find the top performing securities that meet our custom criteria. We then extract statistics and ratios that indicate risk, performance, income potential, sector rank and other factors. John W. Day, our lead investment strategist, then examines all these statistics and compares them to our managed portfolios to determine if each clients' strategy is performing as expected. If John determines that adjustments are needed, our clients are contacted to discuss his findings and suggestions.

INSTITUTIONAL INVESTING

At first hearing, institutional money management may sound like the kind of investing undertaken at large corporations; like a huge pension fund at General Motors or a large 401(k) plan at Exxon Mobil.  Or maybe the term brings to mind large charitable trusts and foundations that promote philanthropy and giving.  But in reality, institutional investing is designed for individual and family investors that desire the personal relationship and expertise of a registered investment advisor and the strength and stability of America's largest brokerage houses.

Generally, in the financial forest, there are two types of investing paths.  The more familiar is the retail broker/dealer.  Names you recognize:  Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs; firms where you walk in, meet a representative, devise a plan and invest your money in a variety of mutual funds, stocks, bonds, etc.  As with most retail purchases, the investor is paying upfront fees, charges and expenses that are associated with providing those investment products.

The second path is what we call the "institutional" side of investing.  On this path, an investor partners with a professional investment advisor who has a custodial relationship with one or more large brokerage firms. These firms have formed special divisions to provide access to mutual funds, stocks, bonds, ETF's, and other investment vehicles for the individual and family investor.  The advisor joins hands with the client and institutional broker to provide an environment to create the best investment and portfolio strategies.  All of these services are provided to the investor on  an advisor  "fee-only" basis and therefore eliminates most of the sales charges, fees and expenses charged by the "retail" brokerage houses.
